Ibra Hernando spent six years locuming across the UK. He loved the flexibility and the variety. The freedom locuming gave him also allowed him to complete his orthopaedic surgery training. But the system around it was broken. Agency forms, misleading listings, slow replies that went nowhere.
Then he launched his own mobile referral business and hit the same wall from the other side. So in 2024, he built Ronda. For every practice and every locum that deserved something better.

All locums on Ronda are verified before they can apply for any shifts. We check their RCVS registration and photo ID. For non-UK nationals, we also verify their right to work in the UK. Our two-way review system then creates ongoing quality assurance based on real placements. The longer a locum works on the platform, the more evidence you have to work with.
Post an urgent shift and matched locums in your area are notified immediately. Cancellations are recorded against a locum’s profile so practices can factor reliability into future decisions. Accountability is built into the system from day one.
Across the UK. We support practices nationwide. Availability varies by region and season, so some shifts fill faster than others. Post your shift and matched locums receive automatic notifications straight away. Our team can also help boost visibility if needed.
You pay the locum directly, not through the Ronda platform. Once the placement is complete, the locum sends you their invoice based on the agreed terms. Ronda does not handle or process any payments between practices and locums.
Most practices are set up and have posted their first shift within 15 minutes. Creating a practice profile takes a few minutes. Once your common shift patterns are saved as templates, future postings take under 2 minutes.
