Built by a vet who lived it.

Ibra Hernando spent six years locuming across the UK. He loved the flexibility and the variety. The freedom locuming gave him also allowed him to complete his orthopaedic surgery training. But the system around it was broken. Agency forms, misleading listings, slow replies that went nowhere.
Then he launched his own mobile referral business and hit the same wall from the other side. So in 2024, he built Ronda. For every practice and every locum that deserved something better.

Is Ronda really free for locums?

Yes, completely free. No subscription fees, no commission on your earnings, no hidden charges of any kind. Ronda charges practices a small platform fee per completed shift. That means we are incentivised to make sure you have a great experience and that practices treat you well.

How does the verification process work?

During onboarding we verify your RCVS registration and photo ID. For non-UK nationals, we also verify your right to work in the UK. This takes up to 24 hours. It happens once. You never need to repeat it. Verification protects you too: it ensures you only compete with genuine qualified professionals, and that practices take your application seriously.

What information will practices see about me?

Practices see the professional profile you create: your qualifications, experience, skills matrix and verified reviews from previous placements. You control what is displayed. Your contact details are not shared until a shift is confirmed.

How do I get paid?

You invoice the practice directly after the shift, based on the agreed rate. Payment is handled outside the platform. Coming soon: automatic invoicing will let you generate and send professional invoices in seconds, with the ability to edit for any overtime agreed on the day. If a practice is late to pay, our support team will follow up on your behalf.

What if I have a problem with a practice during or after a shift?

Our support team is made up of veterinary professionals who understand the realities of locum work. We have helped locums with everything from late payments to shift disputes. You are not alone.
