The locum who arrived to find no induction, no support, and no respect. We have stood on both sides of that frustration.

Our Mission

It all started with
Ibra.

Ibra Hernando spent six years locuming across the UK. He loved the clinical work. What he did not love was everything around it. The weeks spent searching for shifts that matched his skills and schedule, the agency forms that disappeared into a void, the slow back and forth before anything was ever confirmed.

Locuming put him through his orthopaedic surgery training. It gave him flexibility, income, and experience across practices he would never otherwise have seen. But it also showed him, up close, exactly how inefficient and impersonal the whole process was.

Then he launched Precise VetPro, his own mobile referral business. And almost immediately, he found himself on the other side of the same problems. Now he was the one chasing locums. The one dealing with recruiters. The one trying to manage a team with a rota scrawled on a piece of paper.

That phone call to his partner Dimitra was the moment everything crystallised. She had spent over a decade in finance, working across some of Europe’s largest companies. She did not need to have been a locum to see immediately that none of this made sense. The markups, the inefficiencies, the lack of any accountability on either side. Within weeks, they were building Ronda together.

That was 2024. Ronda has been growing ever since.

Ibra Hernando
Co-Founder, DVM MRCVS

Ibra graduated as a veterinary surgeon in 2013 and moved to the UK in 2016, going on to earn a Certificate in Small Animal Surgery and an Advanced Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery. After six years as a full-time locum, he launched Precise VetPro, a mobile referral surgery service. His experience on both sides of the locum world shaped the foundation of Ronda.

Dimitra Sepou
Co-Founder, BSc FCA

Dimitra studied Accounting & Finance at the University of Southampton and qualified as a chartered accountant at Deloitte, later becoming a Fellow of the ICAEW. With over 10 years of post-qualification experience across multinational companies in Europe, she came to Ronda from outside the industry and immediately saw the inefficiencies in locum recruitment. She helped shape a smarter, more streamlined solution from the ground up.

Katy Edmiston
Growth & Relationship Manager

Katy has over 20 years of experience in veterinary practices, working across nursing, reception, practice coordination, and locum recruitment consultancy. She has worked in both independent and corporate settings, and on both sides of the locum booking process. That breadth of experience allows her to build strong, knowledgeable relationships with practices and locums alike.

Natalie Hadjigeorgiou
Client Experience & Ops Coordinator, RVN

Natalie qualified as a veterinary nurse in Australia in 2014 and became a UK Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2018. She spent seven years as a practice manager and head nurse at a small animal clinic in London. With a strong background in practice management and recruitment, she is passionate about streamlining locum bookings and improving clinic efficiency.

Customer Care Specialist

Dona is a Customer Success and Communications professional with over 15 years of experience across customer support, HR operations, onboarding, and technical support. She has worked across tech, e-commerce, fintech, and BPO environments, and holds a degree in AB Mass Communication. At Ronda, Dona helps practices and locums with their queries, ensuring a seamless and empathetic experience for every user.

Good Vibes Administrator

Altea joined the team after being adopted from a shelter and quickly became our Good Vibes Administrator. She audits meetings from under the table, tracks biscuit inventory, and files squeaky toys in the correct basket.
